| Xiosia ~ Ancient Dermorian pronunciation (khi-o-see-ah) Harm None... Do what thou wilt. Honor The Goddess in all. |
| All Daughters are accepted into the guild as Neophytes and mature from there. The more mature covens do not enjoy any special privileges, but do have additional responsibilities. As Daughters advance in maturity, they will move from one coven to another. While maturity is a matter for each Daughter and the Goddess alone to judge, one sign of maturing is a willingness to be advised by those who have come before her. More mature Daughters are responsible to help mentor their less mature sisters. Such mentoring might include the observation that a Yogini ready to be considered a Matri should be able to explain what has inspired her growth and what she feels she has been called to do. Similarly, a Matri who shows the wisdom to become a Dakini will have the consensus of the other Dakini or High Priestess'. NEOPHYTE Members new to the guild shall begin at this level. Neophytes need only have the desire to learn about Xiosia and her ways and be willing to learn about the sacred mother from her guild sisters, and the willingness to learn to become a part of the guild's mission. A neophyte may request to rise to the Yogini level after a minimum of 3 months. YOGINI Symbolized by the snowbud, this coven includes those who show youth and youthful enthusiasm. They are encouraged to learn as many different skills as they can and are expected to participate in the detailed management of the guild. Their voices are always welcome in discussions and their votes are counted exactly as everyone else's, but they are expected to show respect and at times defer to the other groups. MATRI Symbolized by the charmflower, this coven includes those whose personalities exhibit stability, power, and a full life. They are encouraged to start specializing, and to teach the Yogini. They are not expected to choose any pre-defined set of skills, but rather to be guided by the Goddess to find their own paths. They will take on the responsibility for operating the guild, advised by the Dakini, and are expected to contribute to the guild treasury. DAKINI Symbolized by the daintywhisp, this coven includes those who have not only gained great ability in some skills, but also, and much more importantly, have become wise in the ways of Yliakum. Thus, they are mentors to the Matri in all things, but especially in the running of the guild. The priestesses who lead large ceremonies would usually be Dakini unless one of the Matri would be a better choice because of her particular skills. PRIESTESS Symbolized by the starphire, this coven includes those who have either matured through the other covens, or who have been elected out of necessity, to represent and speak for the guild at events or non-guild meetings, preside over in-guild meetings when present, and maintain all official guild documents. __________________________________ DOX Peaceful Warrior Those sisters desiring the warrior's path must be committed to the protection of Xiosia's sacred truth's and also her temple's, gardens and followers. The safeguard is set apart for those Daughter's that are committed to defend, with their lives if need be, the sacred truth's of Xiosia. A protector is a non-aggressive warrior that acts in defense when all other forms of resolution have been exhausted. A protector defends those that are vulnerable and persecuted. A Daughter warrior is expected to train in mastering the art of weaponry and the craft of Blacksmith.
